There is no required word count. A product page needs enough unique, accurate information to help a shopper understand the item and distinguish it from alternatives.
1. Include the exact product identity: model, SKU, pattern, size, material, compatibility, condition, or other attributes customers search for.
2. Use structured product attributes rather than padding prose with repeated specifications.
3. Add concise descriptive copy for details that matter to the purchase decision and are not obvious from attributes.
4. Use original images, condition notes, availability, shipping/returns, and fit/compatibility information where relevant.
5. Avoid copying manufacturer descriptions across hundreds of stores when you can add retailer-specific value.
6. For very similar variants, decide whether one canonical product page is cleaner than many thin URLs.
A short page can be excellent if the product is inherently simple and the structured information is complete. Thin means low value, not low word count.
