Separate entities only when the department or practitioner is independently eligible, customer-facing, and meaningful to how people search. Shared addresses do not automatically justify multiple local entities.
1. Review platform eligibility rules for departments and practitioners before creating additional profiles.
2. Give each legitimate entity a distinct name, phone/contact path, category, hours, and landing page where appropriate.
3. Avoid creating multiple profiles that exist only to target extra keywords and then compete with each other.
4. Connect department/practitioner pages to the parent organization through clear navigation and structured data.
5. Monitor local filtering and duplicate issues when entities share categories and locations.
6. Keep reviews and public information associated with the correct entity rather than mixing identities.
The local ecosystem should reflect real organizational structure. More profiles are useful only when there are truly more customer-facing entities.
