For critical landing pages, the initial response should contain enough information to identify, understand, link, and evaluate the page even before enhancement scripts run.
1. Return the correct status code, title, canonical, meta robots, viewport, and primary metadata server-side.
2. Include the H1 and primary body content in the server response whenever practical.
3. Render crawlable internal links as real anchors with href destinations.
4. Include essential structured data server-side or ensure it is reliably rendered without user interaction.
5. Avoid requiring API calls after load for the only copy describing the service or product.
6. Test degraded behavior by blocking JavaScript or downstream APIs and confirming the page remains a meaningful document.
JavaScript can enhance interaction, but the page’s identity and core value should not depend on a fragile rendering chain.
