A project becomes link-worthy when it illustrates a broader local issue, unusual challenge, useful data point, public benefit, or story that matters beyond the company itself.
1. Document the problem, location, constraints, outcome, and what made the project unusual.
2. Identify an angle relevant to local readers: historic property, severe weather, accessibility, community service, sustainability, safety, or a measurable trend.
3. Collect approved photos, before/after evidence, customer quotes, and project facts.
4. Create a durable case-study page that can serve as the source URL.
5. Pitch the story to the specific local/industry publishers whose audience benefits from the angle.
6. Avoid turning every routine job into a press release; select projects with genuine external interest.
The link comes from the story’s usefulness, not from asking for a backlink. Build the source page first, then give publishers a credible reason to reference it.
